So we often make a detour to the Kirtlington playground after we visit the Kirtlington Quarry, as it is beyond doubt, one of the most beautiful, truly rustic play area I have seen.
Set under huge beautiful trees, it is fenced but with vast estate (with sheep and horses a bit further away) on one side and a church on the other outdoor space, its small but so so peaceful. It has a village-esq feel to it, with friendly faces, actually making an effort to smile/talk to everyone- love it!
There are Rockers, swings, sit in sea saw, climbing/balancing frame with slide, spinning bucket to sit in, wooden play house and balancing bridge.
The surrounding Park looked ideal for ball games and the estate around had plenty of people walking/jogging or dog walking
