So we decided to venture off Aylesbury way today and came across this playground, which is actually one of the three ‘Play on Birds’ Play spaces located along the Riverside Walk. Although the name boasts of a riverside walk, there’s just a small stream that flows on one side (atleast in the portions we saw) .
The playground itself contains swings, climbing/balancing frame with slide (toddler and young/older children), spinning bucket to sit in, sit in sea saw, pigeon boat and tyre swings. no safety padding on the ground
There was a track as well, with plenty of people walking/jogging and cycling/scooti-ing.
After playing in the park, we ran down the grass, crossed a bridge (across the stream) to reach to the wrong side of the river walk. The Meadowcroft open space was beautiful place to run and enjoy natural, untouched beauty.. The grass was quite overgrown and wild, so please be careful and wear appropriate gear if you venture this way and probably not suitable for younger toddlers or children who get tired easily.
We were hoping to walk to all the three parks, but we got lost in the natural reserve, so could do only one playground , but as me and my son just love running around, we actually really enjoyed ourself 🙂
