Roman play park, Aylesbury
31 August 2021
The park is quite close to the Aylesbury Vale parkway. We turned around the parkway to try to find it, but actually there is no access from that side. you have to go via A41 onto sir Henry Lee crescent and park near one of the houses to get to it.
It is not a bad park and looks fairly new-ish but needs some maintenance. It has with a pirate boat themed climbing structure with climbing ladder and slide but it also has binoculars to look through, which made it interesting for imaginative play. There is another climbing frame for tots, some musical apparatus swings, a trampoline, roundabout, sit in see saw and a revolving see saw. There is also a reasonable speed Zipwire.
There are cycling tracks around the park, so we just went on a little walk to try to explore the area, but there wasnt much to write about apart from the long fields of wildflowers.
