Oxford city Farm, located quite close to the Florence Park, is a community-led farm in the heart of East Oxford. It provides opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to engage with bits of farming and food production, animals, and each other. It is open to visitors every Friday & Saturday from 10am – 1pm, all year round. You will see volunteers running the place when you visit.
The farm is small and has a limited variety of animals, but it is well suited for toddlers and very little ones, who can will wander around (for free) to find a few sheep and goats (behind an electric fence), chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is also a vegetable garden, a fruit orchard, mud kitchen and some outdoor play equipment (as seen in the pictures). You won’t spend more than 20-45 minutes here unless there is an event going on.
I wouldn’t travel all the way just for it. If you are in area, combine it with a visit to the nearby Florence Park, which is pretty amazing!
