The playground is actually a good one. The toddler area is fenced with wood chips and has swings, multi person sea saw, climbing structure, swings and stand alone slide . Outside is the bigger climbing frame, which is somewhat similar to the ones we have seen in West Oxfordshire but is still pretty unique. There is a big vertical rope tunnel for climbing up to get to the top platform, which is quite high actually but there is a net at the bottom so you can not actually fall off it. On the side, are horizontal rope ladders which you try to climb up, to reach the rope buckets or rope tunnels but unlike other parks, where you can move from one to another via monkey bars or ladders/ ropes, these one are isolated, so you have to do each one independently. same goes to the slide which has a separate rope ladder to climb upto.
There are also swings, pendulum/ revolving sea saw and zip wire, so it has a good mix of equipment for different age groups. Green fields surround the play areas with tracks for scooties and cycles.
The Leys recreation ground is quite amazing and pretty close. We did both parks in one day and so can you to a full day out of it.
