Crowmarsh Gifford Play Park in Wallingford is not huge but there is plenty packed within its fences, which combined with the nearby splash park, would make for a really nice day out
The climbing frame with a fast corkscrew slide is the centre piece but is quite challenging with the logs on chains requiring a lot of skill to balance and move to the other side. This one is for older children
We loved the Obstacle course on the small hill with monkey bars, balancing logs and wobbly bridge, as well as a slide. There was also another structure with two bouncy seats opposite one another, which worked a bit like a see saw, where one could hop/balance the other up n down. Not sure what it’s called as I have not seen it anywhere else.
They also have the disc type roundabout where you sit or stand on the tilt and spin round.
There was a circle of swings where I could imagine a whole group of friends swing & gossip at the same time.
In addition, there was the usual stuff like Roundabout, normal swings, spider web,a train structure for imaginative play and a double zip wire in the field outside, ideal for a good race
Toddlers have their own small climbing frame with a slide, rockers, standing sea saw, swings, sit in spinning bucket and tunnel.
Riverside Parks and outdoor heated pool is located adjacent to the River Thames between Crowmarsh Gifford and Wallingford. The pool has a charge but their Riverside Jubilee Splash Park is free and makes water fun for children of all ages.
