Foxey leys copse play area is situated just behind the St Edburgs school and is one of the many small playgrounds on the new housing estate in Kingsmere, Bicester. You you can park in the community centre, walk across Pioneer way, through an alleyway, just next to the boundary of the school. Alternatively, you can access it via Cartmel drive. I know Cartmel residents are very frustrated by the increasing number of parents who park here for school pick and drop, so avoid it if you can or please park sensibly if you decide to come this way.
The play area is fenced and has rubber matting under the equipment. The wooden climbing frame is in the centre with vertical and horizontal cargo nets, climbing rope and balancing logs. A small obstacle course is next to it, which has tyre bridge and monkey bars. Swings, round about and a zipwire completes the playground.
There is not much for younger children to do here. However, there is another very small park just as you turn around the corner of Cartmel drive (about 50 steps away) which has balancing/ stepping logs, small climbing frame with slide and baby swings.
There is a small woodland area just across the road with lots of squirrels and birds. We also often sight bunnies running around the grass area around the boundaries here.
