Kingsmere park play area is a new addition to the wide range of play parks cropping around the estate and is the BEST in my opinion due to the variety it offers. At the centre is a reasonably sized wooden climbing structure with ropes, ladder and climbing wall leading to a tunnel/cockscrew slide. The structure also works well for playing hide n seek or imaginative play. There is another climbing frame with rope bridge and a separate tree house type slide for toddlers too. Add to that a decent obstacle course with wobble bridge and stepping stones, sit in revolver/round about and swings, and the nearby basketball court, and you have a decent play ground.
Well.. also add in the lovely walking/jogging/cycling track around whitland sports center with its multiple pitches (with football coaching facilities etc) , the surrounding fields to run around in, and the other parks in the vicinity, and you have a winner here.
We normally do the full loop (with Ay on his bike). We start at the Whitelands Farm sports centre, walk towards the Kingsmere park play area, then circle around to Alchester Park Play area before returning back towards Whiteland farm play area, then getting back either on the main track or through the grass field to return to the sports centre. The whole loop is about 2.5 miles, which is interrupted with pit breaks in the park (occasionally a picnic) and we really enjoy it. Sometimes we also take a detour to the lake/ pond.

🚘 Free parking but its complicated. There is no parking near the park itself. You have two options. You could either park at Whitelands Farm sports centre (Whitelands Way, Bicester OX26 1AJ), then walk along the track (its ~10-12 minutes walk, buggy friendly and kids can take bikes or scooties). The other option is to park in the nearby residential area, near Ludlow road or Kingston Drive on the opposite end of Kingsmere and walk from there (~5-7 minutes walk that way, buggy doable and kids can take bikes or scooties on this route too)
🚻 No toilets on site but available in Whitelands Farm sports centre
🍕 No refreshments on site but cafe open in Whitelands Farm sports centre with limited hours
🧺 Picnic possible
🦽 Buggy accessible
🐕 No dogs allowed inside, but fields around with dog walkers
