Loughton pirate park in Milton Keynes was tricky to find. We kept going round and round in circles as Google kept pointing us to Hoppers meadow road, which looked like a dead end. We parked on the road, found a little alleyway between the houses and found the place eventually. When we reached there, I also saw it’s main entrance just behind Loughton Sports pavillion/ Grumpy Cook coffee shop, which has its own parking spaces, so that’s a better place to come from!
There is a little woodland next to it and huge green field on one side with goal posts. There is no pond in the park but you can walk /splash in the stream (with stepping stones crossing), so I have included it in parks with ponds section as well (though technically it isn’t). If you continue with the walk, it will eventually take you to Lodge lake, but we did not venture that far. The fields and a lot of the walk has cycling/scooting/jogging tracks, so take your scooties with you.
