Freeland playground in Witney is a brilliant play park which is well suitable for kids of all ages. You have to pass through a huge sporting field to access the park, where boys were playing football in professional looking gear, warming up for a match, but we made it into a race on the side and the park at the end was so worth it.
There are three separate play areas. The first one I really really Loved, as it has an amazing climbing frame for older children with rope/cargo net tunnels, rope bridge, ladders and monkey bars (have a look at the videos)
There was a zipwire and trampoline too. Also, there’s a small shelter area from the rain which Ay pretended to be a bus stop.
Toddler area is separate and fenced with its own climbing frame with ropes, slide and wobbly bridge and a pretty cool square obstacle course. As you pass by this, then there is another little play area for older children with a slide, cargo net spider web and nest/normal swings
There is also a Cricket pitch and basketball field
