Warborough Play Park
23 April 2022
Warborough Play Park is actually pretty awesome with something for all ages. You will be able to spot it from the road as it is at one side of a vast green field. Unfortunately, the play area is not fenced, so you have to keep a close eye on your children.
This place is a climbers delight. There are a number of climbing opportunities and they are all pretty decent actually. The first climbing frame at the far end has a climbing wall, cargo net, wobbly bridge, wobbly steps, balancing log, spider web and a slide. Then there is a toddler slide over a small mound with climbing wall and ladder. The third one is a mixture of a climbing frame/ obstacle course with balancing logs, climbing wall, climbing ladder, tyre swings and cargo net
If that was not enough, there is a pretty lovely and long Obstacle course on its own. Kids were timing themselves as to who can do better. In addition, there are traditional swings (as well as a nest swing) but also a rope swing hanging from a nearby tree and a zipwire (which creaked when it moved and was quite slow).
The surrounding fields had rugby posts and older children were having a play with the ball.
Free limited parking- I have been informed by a local that
Parking on the verges isn’t allowed even though people unfortunately do do it. There’s parking behind the park and down by the pub too, so avoid parking on the grass if you can!.
No toilets or baby facilities
No refreshments on site but pub close by
Picnic allowed- Few benches dotted around for parents to sit on but no picnic benches
Buggy accessible though terrain is all grass
Not sure about dogs!
