Steeple Aston Play park in Bicester is a GEM and definitely one of the top tier ones in north Oxfordshire! The residents of Steeple Aston are so lucky to have this as their “local park”!
I can go gushing over the playing/climbing equipment (which has anything and everything a kid can hope for) nicely placed in the three different, tree shaded play areas, fenced separately to cater for children of all ages, but I won’t. There is just too much, so have a look at the pictures yourself.
This park also has something unique- a cross country bike track-albeit small one but very interesting nevertheless. So if you want your kid to practise without actually having to go to a hill, this is your place. There weren’t any bikes, so we just raced up n down (perfect if you have two children), but I will take him biking here once we are a bit more confident with our flat surfaces.
If that’s not enough, there is a zip wire, table tennis table, basketball pitch and football ground.
The village is beautiful and you could just have a walk around to admire it. We also stopped by the river and had a splashy walk around it. Certainly can be a good day out for the whole family
